Frequently Asked Questions

Buying or selling a home often comes with a lot of questions — and that’s completely normal. Below are answers to some of the most common things clients ask. If you don’t see your question here, I’m always happy to help.

When should I reach out to a Realtor?

Anytime. Whether you’re actively planning a move or just beginning to explore options, reaching out early can be helpful. I’m happy to answer questions, talk through timelines, and help you understand what to expect — even if you’re months (or years) away from making a decision.

Do I need to be pre-approved before touring homes?

Not always, but it’s often recommended. A pre-approval helps clarify your budget and strengthens your position when it’s time to make an offer. If you’re not sure where to start, I can connect you with trusted local lenders who can walk you through the process.

How does buyer representation work in Oregon?

Oregon requires a signed buyer representation agreement before touring homes. This agreement outlines how I represent and advocate for you, what services are included, and how compensation is handled. I always take time to explain this clearly and make sure you feel comfortable before moving forward.

What does it cost to work with a Realtor?

Costs can vary depending on the transaction. In many cases, buyer representation is paid through the transaction itself rather than directly out of pocket. I’m always transparent about fees and happy to walk through how compensation works so there are no surprises.

What if I’m relocating or not sure where I want to live yet?

That’s very common. I regularly work with clients who are relocating or narrowing down areas. I can help you explore different communities, talk through lifestyle considerations, and connect you with trusted partners if your move extends beyond my immediate service areas.

What if I’m selling and don’t know where to start?

You’re not alone — many sellers feel that way. I can help you understand timing, preparation, pricing, and next steps, and guide you through the process in a way that feels organized and manageable.

Do you work with first-time buyers?

Absolutely — working with first-time home buyers is one of my favorite parts of this job. Buying your first home is a big milestone, and I love helping clients navigate it with confidence and excitement rather than stress or confusion.

I take an educational, step-by-step approach, making sure you understand not just what is happening, but why. From financing and offer strategies to inspections and closing day, I’m there to answer questions, explain options, and celebrate each milestone along the way. My goal is for first-time buyers to feel supported, empowered, and genuinely excited about the journey — not overwhelmed by it.

What makes working with you different?

I believe real estate should feel personal, supportive, and even fun — not stiff, transactional, or intimidating. When you work with me, you’re not walking into a bank-style experience or being pushed through a checklist. You’re stepping into a chapter of your life, and when you ask me to be part of it, I’m all in.

I bring professionalism, preparation, and clear guidance — but I also bring warmth, energy, and genuine care. I take the time to get to know you, understand what matters most, and tailor the experience to fit your life. Along the way, we’ll celebrate milestones, keep communication easy and open, and make sure the process feels supported rather than stressful.

My goal is for clients to feel confident, excited, and genuinely cared for — knowing they have someone fully invested in both the outcome and the experience.
